What I'd Wear To An Interview With Anna Winotur

NY Mag's The Cut recently posted this article: What Thirteen People Wore To Their Interview With Anna Wintour

I couldn't help but feel anxious / nervous for their outfit choices. And then I started thinking, "Well... what would I wear to an interview with Anna Wintour?" Most likely something simple, but bold; anything more than that wouldn't be a realistic representation of my style. And that is one thing you do not want her to misinterpret.

So assuming I'd have a good amount of cash at my disposal, and the weather would be nice,  this is what I came up with.

  • ChloĆ© Sleeveless Shift Dress ($1,250)
  • ACNE Terra Pump Shoes ($500)
  • Mark Cross Large Zelda Bag ($1,925)
  • BloodMilk The Oracle Part II Necklace ($220)
  • Butter London Wallis Nail Polish ($14)

I'd hire me, but Anna would probably pass me off to Teen Vogue. Which I'd be more than happy with.

Neiman Marcus x Target - 2012

Overall, I was not at all impressed with the collection. I would have liked to see less "home goods", and more clothing. And if you want a simple way to judge how basic America is, just take a look at what the first item to completely sell out of the Neiman Marcus x Target collab was.

Nope, not the Proenza Schouler iPad sleeve, Derek Lam slippers, or even the Rodarte wrapping paper. It was the tacky, bedazzled, zebra print compact mirror by Judith Leiber. I'm almost positive Claire's sells something like this at a much cheaper pricepoint.

Okay, America... okay.

Revisiting The Fashion Blog

Over the course of my internet life I've had more than my fair share of "blogs". And I've managed to stop posting / stop caring about each one. Except this.

So here I am, back to resurrect Thrash Not Trash. I've deleted a bulk of the old posts, cleaned up the tags, and apparently lost all followers. But I'm here with a slew of ideas and I'm ready to blog until my fingers bleed. Let's go.
